After 16 seasons, 555 goals and two Stanley Cups, Steven Stamkos’ time in Tampa Bay may be coming to an end. TSN Director of Scouting Craig Button joins Ryan Rishaug to discuss Stamkos’ future as free agency approaches, which side has the leverage in the negotiations, and the best fit for him if he were to leave the Lightning.

No way in hell he'd go to Buffalo.
lol at buffalo
I like the idea of him in Detroit. Wings don't have an offensive center after Larkin.
Also Button does know Buffalo was closer to the playoffs last year than this year right? I put those teams neck and neck. Button acting like the Sabres were a mile ahead of Detroit.
Come to the Habs, we need a bridge at center
He would be a Nice fit in Colorado
If Stammer doesn’t wanna take a discount to stay then he can go collect checks in dumps like Buffalo or Montreal if he wants. The Bolts only want guys who prioritize winning over money. A culture stammer once believed in.
Unless Tampa can keep him while paying him what he has clearly earned then it's selfish and unfair to Steven he has already taken 1 pay cut to stay with us and that was pre two Stanley Cup wins and three consecutive trips to the Final and then there's all his milestones are they really going to ask him to take less again just to stay with us I am a huge Tampa fan and Steven Stamkos fan but if we ask him to settle for less I'll be very disappointed in the organization
He is clearly going to the leafs, for real this time. He will also take a massive pay cut for the honour!
Detroit has a good team. They just missed playoffs by one point they’re gonna make the playoffs this year.
Stamkos looks like a guy who needs change of scenery
But Florida is very nice tax and weather wise
Come to ANAHEIM!
Utah
Keep Stamkos and Duclair in Tampa !! Trade Hedman…..that creates the cap room.
Peace bro…its been a fun 16!
if the Sabres sign a washed up Stamkos when a playoff beast like Bennett is available? then they are nuts
Stamkos needs to get OUT.
Stamkos to Calgary? Lead young team to higher ground.. a noble way to finish a career.
