In Toronto? You’ll be fine. Don’t be an obnoxious prick, and expect some heckling.

Keep in mind that the tickets in Scotiabank arena are insane in comparison to any other arena in the NHL.

Toronto and NJ fan – you’ll be totally fine. I’ve seen tons of games in the nosebleeds of Scotiabank and the worst thing I’ve seen is a drunk fan getting kicked out for being obnoxious.

I had always heard it was impossible to get tickets to games as I had always wanted to visit the HHOF when the Devils were in town there. Maybe someone here has had a different experience?

The only risk may be that too many people offer you sushi and are so nice to you.
May be the odd heckle but nothing like going to Philly!!!!!!!!!!
yeah people arent starting fights in Toronto when they paid 500 bucks for a ticket

It’s not very safe as when leafs see real teams, they become skiddish and can choke so try to ease them to it

I went to one of the games in March and had a great time! Do it!

I’ve been to many Devils games in Toronto – I’ve only ever had positive experiences, just don’t be a dick and you’ll have a fantastic time!

You say “match” which implies you may be European or English?
If that’s the case, there is likely to be a culture shock between American sports and, say, European football. In American sports, even the most “unfriendly” road games, violence is exceedingly rare. The concept of a police-surrounded “visiting supporters section” is utterly foreign to us, and 99.99% of what happens is good-natured heckling and banter.
Once in a while, someone will get too drunk or out of hand, and they’ll be pretty quickly removed from the arena; just don’t taunt drunk assholes, and you’ll be fine.

The only bad thing is the tickets are so expensive you won’t be able to afford poutine.

I have had mostly good experiences but a few where people are idiots. Third period everyone is drunk so they get mouthy. Been challenged outside called a devils fa**ot. Got stabbed in the ribs with the end of a flag.
But most of the time good banter. Ive heard from friends the same when they go to other arenas. It can be good or bad but just go and enjoy.

You’re afraid of Canadians?

As someone that’s been to a lot of arenas the general rule of thumb is “Don’t be a fucking twat and no one will bother you.” Hell even in Philly I’m generally fine. I will say if you are worried just bring a light hoodie and quickly zipper up if things get a little tense.
The literal only time I felt “unsafe” was a few years ago I was at the Garden for Rangers v Devils in that one game that went to like a 7 round shootout where Subban looked like he slew footed Laf I think it was? The one where someone full over bowled Mack over and gave him what looked like a concussion? I just so happened to be wearing a Subban jersey. I watched a few drunken fights break out in the stands that game and on the way out the Rags fans were chanting fuck Subban and even some were chanting some racist ass shit I won’t repeat. Safe to say that’s the only time I quickly zipped up my hoodie and kept a very low profile. But realistically I knew that I would still mostly be fine because I could personally handle most drunken idiots.
But that’s the only example out of dozens of other scenarios.

I went to a game in toronto last year in march when the devils beat the leafs. As long as you arent a jerk about how the game goes and dont be to obnoxious you should be fine. Youre gonna get a lot of hecklers tho

I’ve seen over 10 Devils games in Toronto, you’ll be fine.

Let us know if you run into [these legends](https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/37402707/stanley-cup-2023-anti-fans-maple-leafs-panthers). Maybe they’ll be wearing Devils jerseys.
