  1. In hindsight I really like Luchenko! Let’s just compare him to another “reach” in the 24’ draft- Bennett Senneke. Jett is 8 months younger than Senneke, faster, better defensively, and had more PPG (I believe.) I think Jett similar to Denver Barkey will flourish offensively, I see him getting 95-110 pts in the OHL. He does have to work on his shot.

  2. This pick is a JOKE considering where this organization is amd where we're coming from, and trying to go after thr past 10 years of painful failed rebuilds. And utterly GROSS mediocrity!!!
Let this team BOTTOM and draft Elite potential prospects FROM THE TOP of the draft!!!
Stop this "compete" AND rebuild 🤡💩 that doesn't work!!!
This is a freaking JOKE at this point. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤡🤡🤡
Huge Reach!!! HORRIBLE FAILURE of a draft!
Luchanko is NOT projected to be ANYTHING MORE than the guy Edmonton drafted at 32nd overall.
You wanna explain that to a fanbase that has been lied and gaslighted by another ex- Flyer GM? Again? Absolute Ridiculousness.

  3. I loved the Luchanko pick when it happened. Still feel good about it. Not sure that he should have been given a contract this year. That means his contract ends when he's 20. What's he going to do there? At least wait until next year, give him another year in juniors, and then give him a contract. He's way too young to be able to think he's ready for the pro game yet. Next year, sign him then start him at LV and if he's still looking fantastic, THEN and only then move him to the Flyers. If his game continues to progress, you can have him at center, Michkov and Foerster at wing, and you've got a really young line who can build chemistry and be an amazing line for a LOT of years.

  4. As far as the roster and where everyone will go. There are two pieces to that. First, I think the Flyers are testing all these young guys to see where their upside is. So they'll all get chances in the top 6, and we'll see who does what. Second, I think it's partly going to be how they play during the season. Torts has shown that the guys who are producing are the guys who get the ice time. Other notes: I have a strong feeling they are looking to make a few trades for more draft capital. Frost, possibly Laughts and TK, and a couple of others if they don't see an upside or a specific role for these guys. I also think a few guys who may have a future with the Flyers will play on the Phantoms to get enough playing time. Finally, I think Torts, Danny, and Jonesy have all mentioned many times 'team chemistry'. They will be looking for who is a leader and fosters good team chemistry and who fits in and who does not.

I just think this year's goal is to test the limits, find who fits into what role, and see what players handle the pressure and what players fold. I think next year is when they have made decisions and start trying to win as the priority and test, develop, etc. secondary goal.
