A important part of the interview with Draisaitl's agent is left out here. Poner also said that, "he's certain, at the end of the day, there'll be an agreement with Edmonton, that both sides will be satisfied with." Just google the interview with Eishockey News in German.
Draisaitl should get $14m and Bouchard about $10m when all is said and done and Edmonton will be a lopsided trainwreck like they already are. I love it!

I don't think it's e necessity to get it done this year. He's going to do what McDavid is going to do and McDavid will sign next year and in sure Drai will too. I'm not worried

Reality is that Draisaitl wants back pay and he deserves a good contract. Will definitely get 13M max term.
Problem is mcdavid is going to take max $ when he resigns and Bouchard is going to get overpaid too.
