  1. I think everything was on the table and that they just couldn't find any bold moves that made sense. You don't burn down the house just cause you are getting tired of the furnishing.

  2. The leafs aren’t the real NHL, the fact that management factors the media and fan reaction into their decisions is the red flag that something is not right with this franchise. Regular teams like would never have allowed this to happen, this roster would have been blow up years ago in any other organization.

  3. Hey I know what we should do… let's keep going with this ''core'' who have proven time and time again that the overwhelming majority of Toronto hockey fans no longer understand how to win a championship (there's a ridiculous and uneducated dominant opinion that players like Matthews, Marner & Nylander are solid leaders simply because they score a lot of regular season points… not realizing they don't know how to function in the playoffs which is a different style of hockey!)

But yes, let's keep rolling it back, listening to uneducated Toronto hockey fans who think Nylander, Matthews & Marner are the best thing in Toronto since sliced bread….and completely ignore what has been PROVEN time and time again for the past 6-7 seasons…the Leafs can't win a cup with this core!

  4. These clowns are never happy. No matter what moves they make, they always complain. Stop pretending to support the Leafs.

  5. It's crazy looking at a core four in hockey that's worth as much as Scottie Barnes, is being talked about as too expensive. The Leafs definitely bring in more revenue than the Raptors. The NHL needs way more money or less broken teams

  6. Define run it back? Isn’t that the slogan that the media has created to insight hatred towards four players and focussing specifically on Marner? First of all, if the leafs want to run back there for core players, that is their decision to make not to media, secondly, if you define running it back by focussing only on these four players then you have missed exactly what has been happening over the last few weeks. The team is almost completely different around the core.

I would say get over it and deal with the fact that Mitch Marner will likely be resigned, and that John Tavares will likely be playing, and that Matthews and William Nylander will likely be playing all with the Toronto Maple Leafs

I am very happy that they’ve made some changes on the blue line, I’m also very happy that they’ve made some signings and are going to switch around some of the bottom six, I’m happy that we have doming back and I’m happy that we Joseph Will and Stolarz tandem

  7. When is everyone gonna realize it’s not Treliving it’s Shanahan. That’s why dubas wasn’t brought back. He was ready to break it up and Shany couldnt then and still can’t admit the Shanaplan won’t work

  8. The thought that players want more money to play in Toronto because they know it's a guaranteed first round exit is so damning. Totally explains why nobody wants to take a hometown discount, because people only do that on teams that win cups.

  9. Steve come cover the habs. Less head against the walls moments with our owners and managers since muscles mark left……. love the efforts guys. " more one repeats the same process over and over without showing a change in results is doomed to their own lack in sanity "…………go sports in Toronto..

  10. You know what teams make the hard decisions, and tough moves? Teams like Las Vegas and Florida. Shanaplan doesn't have the balls to make the tough moves. Enjoy the continuing playoff failures.

  11. Steve is getting very annoying and Adam was always annoying. You guys are also the problem why players do not want play here. You guys are very cringey and know it alls

  12. People stop listening to these guys.. ask the NHL players why they don’t want to play for leafs? It’s because of guys like this

  13. The issues with the leafs are cultural. This country club atmosphere with players who have done nothing great(looking at you Nick Robertson) thinking they’re amazing. Tell all of them at training camp, and I do mean all of them NO EXCUSES. If you play like trash you’re going to be treated like trash we won’t protect you from the accusations anymore.

  14. I think Chris nailed with Canadian teams in general, when a team's management doesn't have to worry about attendance and they are making a profit then why mess with things. Toronto could fall apart like Buffalo or Columbus and still have packed seats.

  15. Leafs fan here. One of Toronto's problems since 1967 is that they trade away their core players. Just ionce I would like to see a few Leafs players play their whole careers as Leafs. Other teams do that but the Leafs have never exercised patience and always demand a blow up. Here is no different, win or lose, I hope Marner retires a Leaf.
