It Could Be INSANE for the Canadiens FANS
#NHL

Huge news is coming from Russia: the KHL and RFH have reached an agreement to give the KHL their own entity. This news has a significant impact on the Habs’ prospects, and it could help the Canadiens bring Ivan Demidov to the team for the upcoming season.

While more information is needed, this is already a big development for the Canadiens and their fans. Seeing Demidov with the Habs next season would be incredibly exciting.

In this video, Coach discusses the news and asks where it would be more beneficial for Demidov to play if he signs his contract with the Habs: with the Canadiens or with the Rocket in the AHL. Finally, Coach talks about the possibility of having Andrei Markov as a mentor for Demidov.

  1. Wow! Very exciting news. Not just for Demidov. But for all of Hockey! We wont have any "Russian" Factor anymore. This is a great sign for the NHL.

  2. I dont understand where people got the fact that Demidov is a small player. No he isnt a Chara. But hes not on the level of a Caufield guys. Caufield is 5'7 170 lbs at 23. Demidov at 18 is 6'1 200 lbs.

  3. This is fantastic news for the NHL and all players involved. Demidov should start with the Rockets for one year then move him to the NHL.

  4. The sooner Demidov, and others, come over to North America the better and quicker their development will take place. Even though there is a pipeline in Russia with Larionov it is not the same as the player being here and getting to use the resources at his disposition beit developmental coaches, playing in the most beneficial system and level and given opportunities to directly come up to the professional league and maybe stick early. Viva Demidov.

  5. Hi coach, I'm good either way, AHL or NHL for Demidov. Markov would be a great coaching addition for the Habs, just have to make sure the bad blood left from the old regime is no longer their. Hell bring in the magician too!

  6. Bring Ivan over and let him play 10 games in the NHL (if he makes the team) and if he needs more development, send him to Lavalle. Markov would be good but I prefer Guy Carboneau.

  7. Markov has all the tools to be an exceptional defender’s coach except a key one : communication
I’d rather have Kovalev as a skills coach and positive influence for Demidov instead, even if Kovalev didn’t always have the best work ethic, at least he can connect with other players, Markov is a special beast and a great player, but he doesn’t have the communication skills to be a good teacher

  8. i like the markov comment but ….. markov is known to not be a talkative person , as a trainer or coaching staff , thats a no no
