Absolutely! Full speed ahead
Murphy's been injured the last couple seasons. If they're going to get anything for him, it will be at the deadline. But his contract is not breaking the bank and can provide veteran leadership for the younger guys. Next season's trade deadline would be a more likely time to trade him.
I would be disappointed if Artyom Levshunov is 2+ years away given he was the #2 pick. When you pick a D that high, you need first pairing ability and NHL impact by year 2.
Stan Bowman ruined the Hawks with his bad trades and even worse drafting , I'm pissed it took ownership so long to figure that out !!
Who wants Murphy and his atrocious contract? Not tradable. This is another reason why Levshunov was a wasted pick. Always thought Forsling had talent. Q screwed him.
The RHD vs LHD thing is overblown I think. Nolan Allan has played right side in Rockford too. I could see him on the third pair with Del Mastro honestly as a transition when they’re both younger
Honestly, I can see Nolan Allen playing on the right side as a leftie.
Luke Richardson was talking about that this past season, and seeing as he's a former defenseman, I'm leaning toward thinking he might know a thing or two there.
Of course I don't recall the interview where he mentioned it.
