It’s really unfortunate there was no early out penalty of like $300M or something like that.
That’s good. Now they need to go out and find a new owner, but it’s going to be hard. The coyotes are basically placed in the same expansion hole that any other expansion team is in now, like Houston, Atlanta, Kansas City etc… they aren’t special anymore, just another city that could potentially go back to the NHL, but they’re on the same level as any other team that wants to do so. They basically have to start from scratch, obviously, so I don’t even know if we’ll see this team back in another five years, maybe 10 to 15 years…

glad that POS out of the NHL and the (former) yotes. what a shame this franchise got him as their owner. he will be in the upper levels of worst owners not just for the yotes or AZ sports but all sports. if there is any karma is he and his family will be bankrupt (fiscally he is already morally) very soon.
Arizona and the NHL will be much better off as a result.
If the NHL expands by two in the next few years then I think franchises will go to Atlanta and Houston (one in the east, one in the west). If 3-5 years after that the league expands by another two then Arizona will be in the mix.
