Dude, the most expensive Dman on the team had his lousiest playoffs ever, thats right Little Fox, he QBs the PP that netted 1 goal in the last 17 chances, and you are dumping on Trouba, Why the hate? Those were all rumors started by Larry Brooks, and he looks foolish now, and then he doubles down by saying his wife's residency got involved. How NAIVE does someone have to be to actually BELIEVE Brooks, think Drury was "surprised" that Trouba nixed the deal 1st day of Free Agency? I've not heard ONE comment from Trouba or Drury, and every sportscaster that says it keeps referring back to that "rumor", to confirm this. Drury isn't stupid enough to lose out on a trade for "not knowing" the players family, wife and no trade list, and plow on blindly like Larry Brooks wants you to think. If you believe Drury didnt know this until July 1, 12AM, you should cover ladies gymnastics instead. Remember, next year when Trouba is laying out guys or slamming them into the boards, its NOT Golden Boy Fox, the 11.5 Million Dollar man, with no goals in the playoffs. Stop being Larry Brooks' mouthpiece. Brooks dislikes anyone that plays a tough brand of hockey, apparently so do you. Fox will not lead this team to a Cup, and Cale Makar is twice the player (and Cheaper) than Fox will ever be.
A player could never get away with ‘refusing to report’ if being traded. They’d be in breach of contract so let him do that and make an ass out of himself even more. If the rangers cave to that nonsense, then they are an even bigger sideshow than we thought. What’s to stop every player going forward just saying nah if you trade me and I have no protection, I’m still not gonna report so you’ll have to keep me. There’d be hardly any trades and then the nhl would be the soft entitled nba
Jon, why don't you break down Fox's horrible playoffs this year. His first year he had 25 pts in 23 games and our PP which he plays 80% of the minutes scored only 1 goal in like last 8 games. THATS why we lost, no scoring from the scorers, no D from ANYONE, NOT just Trouba. Be fair. i don't get the Trouba hate. really. Would you give back salary money? No one would. So get over his contract. He didn't put gun to Gortons head.
With moving his contract you have to think about the end next season. You have to pay multiple players at the end of next season
