So, funny dating story. My wife, whom I married 2 months ago, we met 2 years ago thru online dating app. On my profile, I had “Go Canes!” along with a photo of me at one of the games. But she, having never watched hockey, didn’t put 2+2 together when we first started talking and thought I was a Miami Hurricanes fan (where she went to school). So on the first date she asked if I went to Miami or had family that did, and I started talking about hockey, and she was lost. We had a good laugh about it, and one of our early dates I took her to a Canes game. She had the time of her life and has her own Trocheck jersey from one of the games we went to the year he was with us. She’s a big fan of our Canes now, and I constantly pick on her that she needs to change her license plate frame (currently has a Miami frame). So good luck dude! Canes wives are the best!
