I could see the Flames signing Kevin Lankinen if they didn’t have confidence in Vladar, but I wouldn’t sign the others.
While I don’t think they will become stars in the league, I think players like Pelletier, Coronato, Klapka, Bahl, Miromanov, Bean, Wolf, Vladar, and Cooley all have a good probability of proving themselves with opportunity. While I don’t think they will all rise to the occasion, I think many in this group will surprise people.
Ultimately, I would rather give our young players a chance instead of signing older players.

Kuzmenko — Sharangovich — Huberdeau
Pospisil — Kardri — Zary
Coleman — Backlund — Coronato
Lomberg — Rooney — Mantha
Andersson — Weegar
Bean — Pachal
Miromanov — Bahl
Wolf
Vladar
Cooley
I don’t see a reason to add more mid forwards or a fourth goalie to the mix. We currently have room for our vets and our young guys to play. There are a few younger guys that can play their ways onto the team now as well.
Johnson is interesting because he could slide in to the top 6 if Coronato needs more time to develop and could be traded for a 2nd or 3rd at the deadline if he plays well.
But honestly, I’d rather just leave the roster like this because it gives young guys a chance and doesn’t saddle us with anything.
