  1. Was Yakupov left off because he’d be the consensus pick for last place?

  2. HurricanePirate16

Sorry, I’m a Canes fan. I wouldn’t know anything about first overall draft picks.

  3. BlueLightSpecial83

I read reorganize as recognize and just thought this was a troll posting

Crosby, Mcdavid, Mackinnon, Ovechkin, Kane, Matthews, Stamkos, bedard, fleury, and the rest of wouldn’t care to argue about but shoutout to nuge

  5. Acrobatic_T-Rex

    Gunna go
McDavid, Sid, mackinnon(to me these are the top three and are open to debate), ovie, bedard(feels weird putting someone who is just as likely to have a career plagued by injury as HOF worthy here, but assuming he takes the same trajectory as the other generational talents) patrick Kane, stamkos, matthews, hughes, fleury, nugent-hopkins, ekblad, tavares, Hischier, Dahlin, Power, Slafkovsky, lafrenierre, hall, johnson(apologies to erik Johnson, ive never heard of him so by default he is last)

Holy shit I didn’t realize Flower was two draft years older than Sid the Kid!

    First: guys with a Cup

    Last: guys without a Cup

Leaving out 2012 is hilarious would’ve been an easy pick for worst

I think of it more like tiers, you can argue placement within the tiers but I think it looks something like this.

    S tier- Crosby, Ovi, McDavid

A tier- Mackinnon, Matthews, Stamkos, Kane, Fleury

    B tier- Dahlin, Hughes, Tavares

C tier- RNH, Hall, Ekblad, Hischier

    D tier- Johnson, Lafreniere

F tier- Yakupov even though he ain’t on the list

It’s too early to say anything about Bedard, Slaf, and Power. I fully expect Bedard to be S tier, but I can’t put him there yet. Slaf and Power could be A or B tier eventually but still too early. I also think Laf can jump up a lot if he continues to grow like he did the past season. Also, no disrespect to Erik Johnson, he’s had a great NHL career but just didn’t live up to that #1 billing.

Whats crazy is how many of those guys turned out to be stars, compared to the nfl where the #1 is usually a bust

  17. rutgermcthroaty

This order is if I was a GM, and the career they’ve had so far , I’m considering if they left the franchise that drafted them.
