  1. One thing that people keep missing on Reinhart is the confidence in him by Maurice. I noticed last year Maurice kept saying how smart he is, how he goes to Reinhart to get a feel for how the team is producing. When you have a coach that says that about you, plus how your fellow teammates treat you, I see it being hard for him to leave. However if gets a huge contract elsewhere and really the play won’t matter because he is guaranteed his money that may look good him as well.

  2. As a Cats fan he absolutely is worth that. The dude puts up huge numbers when it counts and in the regular season. Love Rino, GO PANTHERS!

  3. Reinhart benefits playing with Barkov but I'd say he's also the best match as a winger for Barkov so far. They seem to click really well in all zones and situations so I'd be surprised if he isn't a Panther next season.

  4. As a Panthers fan, 8.5m TOPS. Reino’s an absolute sniper but I don’t see him having the same production elsewhere. Either he takes a team-friendly discount (not to mention tax-free in FL) or some other team will pay him the $10m. But the Panthers should not pay that much to keep him IMO

  6. Not a chance. Florida doesn't need a regular season hero to bring in fans after they won the cup, had back to back finals appearances, and also picked up a president's trophy. Their team is solid enough that they can put just about any above average player on that top line and get results with Barkov.

  7. Reinhardt will do a cap and team friendly deal. He and his family want to stay in Florida. It’s very unlikely he will leave Florida.

  8. A pp merchant that had a one decent season isn’t worth 10 million lmao
    Besides his goals he’s mid

  9. He is worth 20 in Toronto where their players get over 10 with no proven results in the playoffs. Florida maybe there around 7 and he would rather be there so he should be willing to sign for a discount.

  10. Would like to see him play for his hometown team, Vancouver Canucks, but no cap space! So happy for him, well deserved cup win! 🏆

  11. No way. He plays with amazing guys and production is mostly based on that. He´s a good player but can´t produce that much on his own. His value is in somewhere between 7-8M. Anything above that would be stupid. Teams need to stop paying guys +2-4M over value because of one great season

  12. 10 mill? Absolutely not. If he stays in Florida, I would give him 8 or even closer to 9 mill for how well he fits with the team. If he goes elsewhere, I honestly think his stats are gonna drop and make him worth less, like probably closer to 7 mill. So yeah, 8 would be a good compromise, I'd say.

  13. I think their point totals also contribute to the fact that nylander has been on the leafs his whole career (a good regular season team for the majority of the time) while reinhart has been with the buffalo sabres…says enough in my opinion.

  14. would be intresting how many Nylander gets if he has Barkov in his side.. Reinhart shines cause Barkov cause hes making others look so much better

  15. He’s a 9 mil a year player (hoping for 8.5 for the panthers) but he has been steadily improving and on both ends of the ice. I’ve been a panthers fan my whole life and huberdeau was not the same situation. Huby was streaky as hell and loved to fall off when we needed him most. Reino stayed pretty solid and was damn good defensively in the playoffs. And the real kicker for the panthers is he’s the one who scored the Stanley cup winning goal…..that merits at least 8.5

  16. I suspect Reinhart has been offered something like a 7×7.5 in Florida. Zito isnt budging, and Reinhart wants to see what everyone else is offering to kick the numbers up. Zito is a smart guy. He got an EXCELLENT long term deal with Forsling, who would have commanded an extra 2-3 million on several teams. Forsling made the right deal.

Florida: Weather, Culture, Privacy, Travel, Facility, Dominance, Success, Cup, Low Taxes, Friends, Place to Raise Family, Nightlife, Roots, Records, and Lines that Benefit Your Numbers.

A $7M contract in Florida is equivalent to about $8.7M in Toronto. I think he would be crazy to leave and I think Zito is going to wait players out because he knows how appealing everything in Florida is in comparison.

All other teams have to offer is money. And not even a lot more money, because of taxes. If players can get term in Florida, they should take it. Believe me, other players are jealous of those spots right now.

  17. Sam Reinhart is good for 30 goals minimum in a season, plays elite defense on the wing is great on both special teams and is one of the highest IQ players in the game. He’s gonna return to Florida and it’s gonna be for $9-9.5M

I don't get that line of thinking… Why does that even matter?? Even if he CAN'T, he doesn't need to nor is he asked to do that in Florida.

And let's just be for real here, with only a few exceptions there ain't no Wingers who "carry" lines in the NHL… This is not Futbol.

Having all that been said, offer the man something on the ballpark of 5 years 8m per and that should be well good enough for a non state tax state.

  19. Yes, as opposed to those multiple 8 digital players in leafblower land that can't do anything in the playoffs, winning a cup is worth it no?

  20. It is not just about his offensive numbers, his value is also on the defensive end. He is a fantastic penalty killer, has incredible defensive instincts, and this is in combination with his obvious offensive skills. You can't compare him solely to offensive minded players, you have to look at his complete package

  21. A big part of Reinhart's success is Barkov. That said, he is underrated outside of Florida for his 2 way play. He is up there with Barkov and was also a Selke finalist. In Florida, he is worth the 10 if you keep those two together. He can do big numbers again. Any team that's interested better have a proxy for Barkov in their plans too.
