This week, Flyers defenseman Jamie Drysdale revealed that he was dealing with a sports hernia all season and underwent surgery for it this offseason. However, Drysdale revealed he is skating again and should be fully healthy and ready to go by training camp.

Just the fact he and other plays can play this sport with a Hernia blows my mind.
If he is healed by start of camp and 100%…. I’m very excited
I like Drysdale…hope he can stay healthy, but I think the fallout from the bum Gauthier refusing to sign with the Flyers and getting Drysdale in return, led to the Flyers passing on Biuim, so its hard not to think of Gauthier and Biuim or Luchanko and Drysdale. At this point, I think most people would prefer the former two over the latter two.
It seems like the Flyers have been very good at training and seeing significant growth in their defense. I think of Risto, and Seeler, and York especially. I am optimistic that a healthy Drysdale will develop and thrive

You mention that Flyers fans may wonder if we were " taken to the cleaners" with the Gauthier trade, but you NEGLECT TO MENTION that we also OBTAINED A DRAFT PICK along with Drysdale, so the trade should never be compared as MAN FOR MAN. Add you to the list of thousands who have forgotten this. If you want to maintain your credibility, report ALL the facts please.

It does excite me that what we saw was a pretty badly injured version of Drysdale. He still had some really fun, great games. Fingers crossed he can stay healthy.
for a first rounder he's not impressive. 147 games played in 5 seasons. Only scored 10 times and is a career -61 ???
