Alright next up – all of McDavid’s 100 assists
What an incredible turn of events not just for McDavid but for the organization. A very slow start while Jay Woodcroft was still behind the bench but once Kris Knoblauch was hired, everything started to go in the right direction.
After starting the season 2-9-1, the Oilers make it all the way to the Stanley Cup Final for the first time since 2006! I’m sure McDavid feels super happy he got the golden opportunity to be coached by the man who coached him back when he played for the Erie Otters!
It’s even more hard to believe that the 2024 Conn Smythe winner became the first winner on the losing team since Jean-Sebastian Giguere back in 2003 and also became the 5th player in NHL History to post 100 Assists in a single season!
Joining some elite company!
