I think Holmstrom is valuable to the bottom six, adding defensive responsibility, speed, and some scoring touch to the team. If he’s a 4th line replacement that’s fine, and if he adds a bit more to his game there’s a spot on the top six for him. I think it’s important to have good penalty killers among your bottom 6 and Holmstrom is turning into a great PKer. Hopefully with some consistent time and line mates he can dial in his scoring touch.
