  1. Actually I like a Demidov-Suzuki-Slaf line, followed by a Caulfield-Dach-new player line, if Dach can remain healthy, things are getting better for the HABS. Hage awaits as 3rd line centre and Florian , Arber’s brother…4th line with Beck as Centre. 😊

  2. Click-bait much? I love the Demidov pick, but c'mon, he played 0 games in the KHL, AHL, or NHL. Let's wait and see and stop this foolishness.

  3. A couple years ago, their GM mentioned Suzuki is their most talented captain since Jean Beliveau. At first I laughed, and then I got really sad.

  4. DemiGod would have to prove that he has the face-off stats and maturity to play 5 vs 5. On the power play though, sure! I wouldn't be surprised if Demidov was outstanding at any position. Demidov will start in the second trio. He could swap places with Dach at center, and then if everything goes very well, he could become center on the power play, and then as Suzuki gets older, become the center on the first trio. But this is a lot of "ifs"… The Habs will take their time I feel with Demidov. They won't put him in a position to fail. He will start out in Laval a bit, then play on the Habs 2nd or 3rd trio a couple of months, have powerplay minutes.. I really hope the Habs won't rush things. Demidov has a bit of a weird style of skating and we don't know yet how his shifting tricks will work in the big league. Let's not forget that there is another player coming up and that will impress everyone: Michael Hage. This guy has first trio capabilities.

  5. Why even bring this up. Let’s get our top 6 figured out. Are you trying to create conflict or just chasing subscribers. It’s like you are not even a fan. Yeah Demidov wants to dethrone Suzuki. Why don’t you say we should trade Suzuki right now before he gets in Demidovs way. What a joke

  6. As you talk about this player so much, you should learn how to pronounce his name. It is not "day-mee-dov" it is "dee-mee-dov". Watch some Russian videos with commentary.

  7. Matvei Michkov will win the Calder this year with a 30+ goal/60+ point performance.
Then, when he puts up the first 100 point season after that no one is even going to remember the name Demidov or Bedard being in the same sentence as the Next True generational talented Elite Russian Sniper.
    Imho. 🤷‍♂️

  8. The fact people are rating Demidov (who hasn't even cracked the KHL yet) above Michkov's (Much Earned) hype is a mistake that is going to be quickly rectified when Michkov gets on the ice in Philadelphia.

  9. Just look at what happened last time Michkov met (and soundly embarrassed) Bedard at the world U18s. 🤷‍♂️
All the evidence is there for where these players will be ranked in 2-3 seasons.
I'm just happy The Flyers finally did something right over the past decade and lucked out with the next Ovechkin/Kucherov level Franchise talent.

  10. Moot point. He is bring brought in to play on the wing. He won't dethrone Suzuki (other than likely in salary eventually).

Caufield will likely be moved to the 2nd line and Demidov takes his place on the top line. Not right away of course, but eventually.

    1st Demidov Suzuki Slaf
2nd Caufield Dach Newhook (or if they make a trade for a top 6 winger)

1st PP Demidov, Suzi, Slaf, Caufield, Hutson

  11. Now you're just talking sh*t bro. We don't need more centers. We need high talent wingers. Leave him right on the wing with Suzuki/Caufield. Drop Slaff down with Dach and Roy. Then you have a 1a line and a 1b line. Let Newhook center the 2nd line and Beck centering the 3rd line. No 4th line.

  12. I remember before Suzuki even made the Habs. There was an analyst in MTL who said he was too slow for the NHL. I think that was during the time Suz played in the Memorial Cup.
