Random moment in Avs history. Owen wearing the Captain's "C" in an Avs preseason game in 1995 against the Montreal Canadiens. He played 9 regular season games with the Avs before getting traded to San Jose for Sandis Ozolinsh.

Not including Nordiques history, this year will be Landy’s 13th season as captain, tying the 13 Avalanche seasons where the C was worn by Sakic.
I’m getting old…
Forget he played for Avs. But still don’t understand why he’s got the C on. I thought sakic was already captain by then.
