Whose goalie mask is your favourite? (Any team any player)



Mines always been Vanbiesbroucks mask. I think that’s why I became a Florida fan when he joined the team.

    The Beezer is why I’m a Panthers fan to this day and I have that exact mask on my work desk, and have for as long as I can remember.

    Honestly, I loved Luongo’s pink panther masks, and how could anyone dislike Brodeur’s iconic bucket.

    Who had the solid matte black with the gold cage for Anaheim? That thing was fucking perfect

    Edit: Hiller. I think it was temporary as he later may have added decor to it? Regardless it was my fav. Solid color with a shiny cage to match the jersey is so sick. I’d love to see a Matte red with the blue or gold cage to match panthers jerseys

    Gonna have to go with Gerry Cheevers. He was in the era when goalies first started wearing masks/helmets, they didn’t before (yeesh). Each stitch represents a time he got hit in the face, game or practice, and how he would probably have to be stitched up if he hadn’t been wearing a mask. Pretty iconic.

    Honorable mention: mikka kippursoff typically had some cool masks in San Jose and Calgary.

    Potvin and Cujo, but also JvB.

    I had the McDonald’s mini helmets of Potvin and JvB beside my TV as a kid. It was where I gamed. Still have them.

    When the Panthers came into the League, I really liked them. I don’t cheer for them or have passion towards them, but I’ve always liked cougars and did projects on them as a kid.
