Yes the isle d has enough depth they should trade 3 or 6 for assets and cap relief. Got odelious, george, and pulkkinen in the system to develop. That question should be asked about the forwards. Depth there is weak and not much in system to fix that in future. D should be sacrificed to strengthen forward group. And 10's role is set-typical louzer fit to fill a bottom six spot. What a waste of a first round pick. 10 should be dealt with 3 or 6 for scoring help. Toss 26 in as well and rid isles of louzer's first round busts. Non-proactive louzer that can't manage a cap or a trade.
I didn’t comment on Holstrom, I guessing or for the most part Patrick Roy is running the decision on making the roster and tryouts so I’m trusting in him as far as our depth and defense we don’t have much depth, depth is when you have a couple of good players in your prospect pool and playing in Bridge port, we really don’t have that, thank you Gil on point LGI !!!
Pelech needs to be traded and bolduc can take his roster spot. Maybe senile Lou can send adam home to play with pajama boy. He’s fallen off a cliff since the all star selection. We obvious need the money. Gil,we have plenty of defensive depth the offense is the major problem. Cholowski,Hutton and ladue can all play if given a chance. Look what happened with wotherspoon. Also holmstrom disappeared on the penalty kill once everyone noticed he was always trying to fly the zone. We all know those shorties came early and he was eventually taken off the kill. I personally would have left him on their god knows he was better than clutter.
Good 🌄, Gil, how are you? I think The Islanders need one more player to fill out the roster. They have 7 defenseman, but they all need to stay healthy. Samuel Bouldac needs a booster shot of confidence. Simon Holmstrom took a $24,000 pay cut to stay with The Islanders IS NOT GUARANTEED. He needs to be more consistent. In The Metro Division, The Devils and The Capitals got better on paper. The Islanders got better when they signed Anthony DuClair. The Flyers stayed the same. The Rangers lost a few players, which they won't be the same, I hope you're right. HAPPY 🎂, DENNIS SIDENBERG. Before I go, I saw Game of 1975 Semifinals with The Islanders and The Flyers at The Coliseum. It was a 👍 game but they almost got the broom taken to them until Dave Newell told the very scary Reggie Leach that the goal he scored doesn't count because the green light came on before it went in. Also, this was back when they only wore the jerseys with their names on their backs was when they were on National TV, or 🏒 Night in 🇨🇦. They lost Bob Nystrom when he came to Garry Howatt's rescue, and it cost him a game misconduct. But the bottom line is THEY WON, and it would be the beginning of a good scare for The Flyers, for these 2 teams would meet in the Finals 5 years later. Also, in paying homage to Trots, I forgot to mention how he played 🐈 and 🐁 with the goalie, and He's the most decorated Indigenous Athlete in The NHL. Great show Gil. Boulduc definitely has something to prove to us. Mayfield hopefully is healthy. Like you said our options are not many. I'd like to think they'll pick up a dman during camp. We know bubble players shuffle around early in the season. Maybe they find a cheap player who fits. Ala Reilly. We just have to complete! That's all! We need to keep our heads above water. Stop the bone head losses and embarrassing play! We need to have pride in everything we do. Winning is just as much mental as it is physical. Now, as a super fan it's frustrating to see lack of focus. Like you say what is the "plan"! Holstrum signing is good. He's a team guy. Works hard. May the God of hockey shine down on the Islanders!!!! BTW GIL LETS GO METS!!!!!!
Pelech and Pulock have regressed. But Pelly is only two years removed from the All-Star Game.
The double P’s on the back end needs to up there game and remain healthy!!! If one of the top 4 go down the Islanders will have a hole with not enough depth. The lack of cap space could have been avoided had Lou traded JGP at the trade deadline! Lou would have had 5 mill towards cap space and a first round pick! Lou is so short sighted it is ridiculous he still has his position! It is heartbreaking as a fan to see the acceptance of such mediocracy from such a once great organization! The owners have placed to much faith in Lou and the owners and fans are paying for it! Lou has no visible plans to reduce salary to fill that last 23 rd spot to finalize the roster. We. Will have to all wait for Lou’s move to free cap space. Thanks Gil
Good morning team! Sorry I missed the last couple of episodes. Gil, interesting subject for this episode. I think we are okay on defense, as defenses go. I actually like Bolduc and would like to see him eventually get out of the basement of being the 7th defenseman. Of course, that is only my opinion. What ever role Roy is going to have for him, I guess we'll have to abide by. Gil, thank you for what you do. You have made the hockey off season fun again, to say the least. we are shown on cap wages now with a 23 man roster but 563k over the cap…so something will have to be done…there are a bunch of teams in worse shape than us including Nashville who is 925k over with a 22 man roster. avalanche 23 man 3 mil over !!! ..more moves coming. there's a lot of time…I am pretty confident page gets moved somewhere and they sign someone super cheap and we'll get to a 23 man roster under the cap…but Gil how do you have a video where you complain we don't have room for 23 man roster AND we are short on defense and need to do something! you're stressing me out Gil!!!

Honestly I'd love for us to Trade either Anders Lee or J.G. Pageu to Calgary and we could get Mackenzie Weeger back to help our Power Play. He is a very capable PP Defenseman and would push Dobson which I think would benefit the team.
