Who do you consider to be the first-line centre of the Vancouver Canucks? Is it J.T. Miller or is it Elias Pettersson. After signing Silovs, the roster appears to be all but set with the team operating under the salary cap without having to venture into LTIR. Rob Williams from the Daily Hive joins us to weigh in on the Silovs signing, Demko’s workload and more. Then we welcome @WhitecapsFC coach Vanni Sartini to recap the big Wednesday night win over Sporting KC.

Pettersson had two seasons. The first 2/3 where he made his line of mid tier wingers look really good and on pace for 110 points, and the last 1/3 where he was clearly suffering from an injury.
Guentzel’s explanation doesn’t pass the sniff test. There are 6-8 teams he could have chosen if he was sincere about wanting to win.
20:30 Honestly, I DO want Canuck fans doing Canuck broadcasts.
This is for numerous reasons:
1. Half the time you get people who don't know what they're talking about, or just don't care.
2. Non-fans criticism is often uninformed, just surface level, or just totally nonsensical.
3. Sometimes you get Gazdic.
4. I want the people I'm watching to be genuinely excited with me, and to be saddened with me, and to be frustrated with me. Otherwise, they just feel like they're pandering or they're apathetic. I don't want to roll my eyes constantly.
5. I don't want people pretending to not have a bias. Everyone is biased. Everyone should acknowledge their bias. I want people whose bias is to care about the Canucks, to criticize them when necessary and be joyful when necessary.
Tribalism is viewed as evil in elite culture so there is a huge demand for intensely tribalistic media (particularly among the NHL watching demographic) and Hughson is a victim of this I would argue.
