I just don't understand why they just don't buyout KK. It would cost them pennies. My man is making almost 5 mil a year to do absolutely nothing. They took the gamble on him and it didn't work out. Just buy it out.
Great signing & well deserved contract for Jack! Time to move on from both KK & Staal & retool the Center group. Staal should have been moved to 4C three or four years ago. Dude's struggling on fumes, lacks skating speed, & provides very litle offense & no finish. Every year you see fading flashes of the old Jordan Staal but they're becoming alarmingly rare at this juncture. Rod loves him but then Rod maintains a distorted view of the teams twilighting vets & his system & approach continues to be called into question with the teams ongoing playoff disappointments. Time to put RBA on a very short leash & if there are any more stumbles then move on at the earliest possible opportunity IMO.
Can't have two non-scoring Centers in the line-up & the Canes continue to be incredibly weak up the middle.
