I was hearing a lot of people say that he is awesome offensive depth and ass on defence. Let’s hope he’s able to improve both us and himself

Tocchet is getting his stapler ready for third periods

Most people here were saying they’d fine with no more than a million aav. Looks low-risk for depth when needed. Who knows, maybe he’d be a good fit on our PP2.

  4. If he can stick in the lineup, he has a deadly shot and can provide off the rush, which was something the team wanted to address. Also adds some nice depth scoring.

It’s to be seen how much leash he’ll have under Tocchet when he can’t defend and isn’t known for forechecking, hopefully it can work out

We will see but so far under tochet several players who have otherwise been “bad defensively” have turned out to actually be adequate when under the proper system with defined roles.

  6. If we use him for specific teams, and situations, this could be a good signing.

Really good for just one year at $975k, basically no risk

I love it. Yeah, he sucks defensively but I think thats fine for a over 40 point player making less than 1M. Who knows, maybe he improves his defensive game.

The way our head office is this deal doesn’t happen if Tocchet isn’t comfortable with it. He’s going to be a role player playing 4th line minutes possibly sliding in for Sutr or Hoglander/Debrusk on ozone draws. If he gets hot he plays more. I like it.

Why is a 40 pt player only getting payed 975k? Seems like a steal!
