  1. 5 contracts end this year, hopefully we can trade them, so yes there will be trades. Demidov said in a Russian interview in May, that he can play centre and might prefer to because "he sees the ice better and is more of a playmaker than a scorer", this is big news so that changes EVERYTHING. We will also trade 1 or 2 defensemen, Barron and Harris are the most likely so we will have spots to fill by next year and I believe we have good prospects to fill those spots. The Habs don't even have a definitive style so I doubt they will sign a big name for long term, it's too risky at this point, Huberdeau comes to mind. We have to be patient, we've only just begun and I don't think much will happen until next apart from the trades that are obvious. Thanks Coach.

  2. Add combo of some draft picks prospects that are not a part of the future with Gallagher and get his contract gone give Anderson this year play him top 6 minutes to see if he can get his game back main thing is to get bigger and stronger and hard to play against as well the coaching staff has to change their approach of how they coach they have to coach playoff hockey now the approach of how they want to play now will never win playoff hockey

  3. Also of Hudson looks like he will be the offensive threat that he projects to be you have to trade Matheson for a big young strong offensive skilled forward

  5. I'm not sold on Guhle fully. I think Mailloux will have more of an upside long term.

  6. Agree with everything you said except for Demidov.
Demidov is on the right path with his development with SKA. I don't want that to change! Personally I think that Habs can learn from the Russian league instead.

  7. Im 100% sure that Harris is going to Boston. Yall know Harris dream is to play for the bruins and hugues is always nice with his players when he trade them

  8. I believe the Habs have been trying to make one or more trades, but have been unsuccessful so far. They will continue to try. but may not make it. Takes two teams to trade, and if the other team is willing it works.

  9. Hi Coach, opportunity should determine the next steps…the right player available at the right price..if not, why rush? Getting it right is more important that getting a bit better now…we need to get a lot better.

  10. If you take the PowerPoint minutes away from Mike Matheson, do you not
Devalue his trade worth in any upcoming trade, I say this because if he goes down to 40 points, we will not get the same return in any trade so if you’re going to do it, I would think about maybe trading Mike now or reevaluated in December…

  11. Both Rutger McGroarthy and Jimmy Snuggerud are US born and I do not see either signing with a Canadian team. Why would they? Both will sign with one of the US teams when they decide to leave college.

  12. In my opinion every team has an in-house stable of left-hand defensemen. There is no market value for a Harris or Struble unless they show a lot more in the coming year. Neither player at the moment moves the needle. We traded right-handed Kovy because there is a market for right handed defensemen. No market for Savard at his salary during the summer. Why would we trade 6'2" RH dman Barron(22 yr old) who is young, can skate, pass, score and is still developing? Neither Mailloux or Reinbacker are ready for NHL. Cheers
