i appreciate your viewpoint on the Cavan situation and while it is definitely a valid point given the timing, I just want to awknowldge that Cavan is certainly getting the hype of a generational talent, was bought by the best team in the EPL for the most expensive youth deal in MLS history, will be with the Union for 3/4 years (until 18), and most importantly, when he was signed before the Union started playing awful, Curtin and people within the Union were already hinting at him debuting in the summer. So, this was all preplanned upon the deal with City; however, there is still certianly truth in that Sugarman is using this to relieve some of the heat on him. Just feel both points have merit
Really enjoy the wide scope of your shows and how its easy to tell that you actually have genuine interest in all of these sports and teams unlike many other sports podcast or talk show hosts. Loving the convos youre having
9m for Konecny is absolutely laughable. Meanwhile in Edmonton McDavid and Draisetl are talking about team friendly deals to win.
If Konecny can't give us a decent team friendly contract get him tf out of here.
Konecny just had his hest season at 68 points. He won't even score 60 points with Michkov coming and taking the top ice time spot from him.
This is why I've been screaming about Briere since Drysdale return.
I can't see paying Konecny anything close to Reinhart.
Contract is an immediate Huberdeau type Albatross.
Briere has failed more and more as time went by. He is NOT the GM to being this team the Elite ceiling prospects needed to complete a successful rebuild.
Konecny has already shown what he is over and over again.
Just another fake (retool) rebuild with Another ex-Flyer GM taking us toward more mediocrity in draft purgatory year after year after year.
This is a joke at this point imho.
The NMC will definitely be there. Look at every other contract on the books. Sanheim, Couturier already drowning this roster until what 2030!?
Feel a SERIOUS divide coming between Flyers management and The Fans who are being gaslit about a rebuild time after time after time.
I think Russ has tapped into something here. Why only stick to sports, when we have such an incredible political story? I think this can be on a regular basis and not just "sticking to sports". And maybe Russ, you can pass this along to Kevin Kinkead
