  1. Nick is a 1C – he's not a top ten one, but he's one. I think by comparison he's better than Koivu was.

  2. I do not think Suzuki is top notch in the league that said his contract will be very team friendly moving forward and allow the team to have another center the same caliber of Suzuki or better is his best value to go for the cup either top line center or 2nd line all works for me

  3. You ask “how” and “why” Suzuki will be a #1 center in the NHL.

For starters, we are YEARS past “will be”. He’s been one for the Canadiens since the ‘20-‘21 season.
So, the “how” is obvious – by being a member of the Montreal Canadiens. The “why” is answered by pointing out the shallow depth of the Canadiens centres since the departure of Phillip Danault.

Suzuki is, and has been the best center among a weak group relative to the rest of the NHL.

He “might” be a #1 center on 10 NHL teams.

  4. Suzuki – 75-80pts. Incredible all around talent. More IQ than average. Future Selke winner. Leadership skills and never injured. I’ll take him as number 1 centre any day.

  5. As a firm Suzuki fan and owner of his sweater, I agree with all you said except that on a low scoring, underperforming and reforming ream, his performance was limited by those around him, esp a weak second line. As the HABS improve, his output will increase, esp assists. Love you work Coach, you are the best

  6. Suzuki has been stellar if you consider the injuries, rebuild, the lack of a cohesive group around him and his age! His captaincy is natural, simple honest answers to the press, even tempered with a great work ethic and plenty of skill as a two way forward. I think he's a complete player who's beyond his years in maturity and a natural, quiet leader who is well respected. I believe he will stand out when it is all said and done. I'm very proud of this young man, he's a remarkable individual who I really hope gets to put his name on the cup! Great vid Coach.
