I've been liking what I've seen from Campbell so far, even if only in preseason. I do think his contract is a little rich, but you have to remember that our tandem for the last few years has been Smith/Koskinen. We had to lock up a goalie and there really wasn't much available this off-season. I don't think anyone expects him to put up Shesterkin or Oettinger numbers, but if he can stay healthy and have skinner play well enough to start 25-30 then I think he will be fine. Is our goalie problem solved? NO.
is this a step in the right direction? YES.
Every Oiler is probably so happy when he saves those. Like "we finally have a goalie!"
