No. He was very good but not hall of fame good in my opinion

The 9 year old in me says absolutely. The 37 year old me says maybe, on the borderline. He had some crazy saves and Rangers would definitely be in an 84 year cup drought without him. Compare him to Hasek, Osgood, Roy, Brodeur of that era; he’s definitely in the mix?

No, and it’s not really a particularly close call either.
Richter was obviously a very good goalie, but I honestly think the HOF has been diluted a bit recently.
For instance, I don’t think Tom Barrasso or Mike Vernon were worthy of induction either.

Team legend, but a bit short of the hall.

He’s in the USA Hockey Hall of Fame, but I don’t think he should be in the ~~NHL’s~~ HHOF.

That is an awesome picture of Micky Dolenz in his young years

Yes, the New York Rangers Hall of Fame.

I just want to say going straight from Richter to Henrik to Igor (with 2 Mike Dunham seasons between Richter and Hank) over 30 years is just fuckin unbelievable

I love me Mike Richter but no. He’s in that Hextall, CuJo, Vernon, Beezer tier. Barrasso doesn’t belong, but the solution isn’t to let the next 5-10 similar goalies in too.

If he played longer and played like the 94’ season, he would be in. He was incredible that season.
baronvonpenguin
Wasn’t he the winningest US born goalie for a long time?
