My First ITF Futures Event (Will I Get In?) | Baseline To Pro, Ep 11

You are never going to feel 100% ready to chase your dreams but sometimes you just have to dive in. Despite knowing the chances of getting in were slim, I signed into the $25K ITF Futures Pro Tennis Tournament in Nottingham UK. In this episode, I document my thought process behind going to the tournament, signing into the tournament, and wait to see if I will be in the draw…

  1. Great video Cam! Low level pro level tennis is brutal!

The standard is so high these days it's a joke!

I played a grade 3 fast 4 event at Aldershot over the weekend and the level was very high. No 1 seed had won a few British Tour events and there were even two players in there who had played qualies at ITF…I played one of them and I got humbled 😳

Keep chasing your tennis dreams Cam no matter what people say👍👊

  2. I watch people on YouTube with a lot more subs than you but their video quality is nowhere as good. Future’s tournaments are very hard to get into and I was wondering if you will play any British Tour events as many people just want to watch you play.

  3. Youre like a less popular Tennis Brothers. He can only travel cause hes got a rich dad and a YT channel. Hes trash at tennis tho

  4. how do you get in / how do they decide who to let into the qualifying draw of an ITF futures (if you don’t need ATP points or a ranking)

  5. I used to play at Notts tennis centre about 10-12 years ago. Brings back alot of good memories! Outdoor courts were good but the indoor ones had thick layers of dust around the edges. Don't think they had been cleaned in about a hundred years!

  6. Interestingly that guy you saw in the final I saw playing at one of the Queens qualifying rounds this year. He had ALOT of nerves and made double faults at key times so don't assume people at this level aren't fragile.

  7. I've been watching some of your videos for a while now and as a tennis player myself i really dont get why u haven´t been playing national tournaments all this time to gain some match practice and competitive rythm (and also to gain some national ranking to get in the itf´s), practicing on its own is not gonna make it. Especially if you haven´t played on the itf circuit for a few years and are not used to playing competitive matches at that level, it probably wont go well for you the first few times. If you are really into doing this kind of journey to go pro, you need to have a much better tournament planning to begin with, you can´t just be expecting every week to get into the qualis and do nothing about it. If you see that you wont get into the future´s draw, go play national tournaments and at least you gain match confidence and boost your ranking, otherwise you are just wasting ur time really. All the best and good luck for the future!

  8. Unbelievable editing 👏👏👏. We want more now! Maybe some videos of you training your way out of the passive defensive mindset.
