30 teams missed the boat on Webber for a six round pick, l don't think so. To call Karlsson elite is a stretch.

Toronto loses this trade 100% Theodore and Karlsson is better.
It doesn't make sense at all for the leafs at this point. We need someone who's not gonna retire soon to build chemistry with Rielly. No thanks on Pietro especially for Marner and Lilly. Karlsson is a good fit to replace Tavares's. Its Theodore if anything. Otherwise cap space is more important.

If that's a deal to be done Vegas would need to add. Likely a First and retain some salary. I like the deal , just that its a deal that should be done 5 years ago. Still I like the two players and if we're taking on two over 30 players with term at high cap hits term . They nerd to add at least a first to make it palatable.

Pietrangelo is the same age as Tanev, so if you wanna send 13 years of marner for 4 years of Pietrangelo. Go for it.
It's just great to hear that Jake Muzzin is still taking an active roll on the Leafs with these young defensemen, and I'm reading a relationship developing between Muzzin and Ben Danford also!
From what I'm reading Muzzin is taking to his new role in scouting for leafs like my ex to tequila! These young defensive prospects can't do any better than to have a mentor like Jake Muzzin!! The Leafs future was treated to a solid bum kicking by former Leaf GM nincompoop Kyle Dufus…I mean Dubas.
But new competent Leaf GM Brad "Tree" Treliving has taken root in solid ground as the Buds are once again blooming in Tranna!!!

I would love that D. And the Leafs would still have like 2 million cap space and be compliant. So by the trade deadline it would be like 3 mil the way the cap system works. To add another forward!
