Oscar Piastri enjoys debut win after McLaren order Lando Norris to give up the lead

Oscar Piastri won the Hungarian Grand Prix after an enormously tense finale in a showdown with his McLaren teammate Lando Norris, who finished second only after he very reluctantly agreed to follow team orders and let the Australian past with three laps remaining to secure his debut Formula One grand prix victory. Piastri called it ‘an amazing day for the whole team’.

  1. shame to accept such a victory when they let you pass with a lag of 5 seconds. And the first victory in a career. Lando is the winner!

  2. Piastri, aren't you embarrassed? First win received as a favor, not on merit – 6 seconds behind and with fresher tires…
I would have refused to pass Lando this way
