[YYZSportsMedia] Details are scarce but multiple sources tell me that for unconfirmed draft reasons , @JeffMarek will likely be no longer performing duties at Sportnet hockey. Details to follow. This would appear to include his podcast duties too.

   Did think it was weird he wasn’t on his own podcast for it’s last few episodes and him and Elliotte didn’t do there post free agency 32 Thoughts they said they would do.

   He also didn’t do HNIC this season and wasn’t on Sportsnets Free Agency show.

   Did he do some inappropriate shit at the draft? Has he been drafted by a sports league somewhere?

    If Marek’s gone from SN he’ll be somewhere else before I have to cut the lawn again. Unless “draft reasons” are like personal conduct things.

    Not a fan of Marek at all, but I know I’m in the small minority here. It’s weird. First thought was they took him off TV (aside from simulcasting his show) last year so they probably just don’t like him, but “draft reasons” is weird.

    I don’t think he even drinks so it’s hard to imagine someone doing something that bad while not drinking. I like him. Hope it’s more on the side of going to be a scout or something.
