Seems like the Canucks are playing moneyball with their signings. That kind of depth can be very important especially in the playoffs. Let’s hope their plan works out.

Depth such as this gives the coaching staff far more reliability, especially on the road when they cannot control the matchup game.
I think Canucks again are going to be dark horses with more than a hint of a shot at winning the division again this year, especially if key players such as pettersson, Hronek and demko can stay healthy all year. Demko I’m not concerned with as Silovs will provide enough confidence to the coaching staff to run a healthier 60/40 split.

By game 20 the 4th line is gonna be like: PDG-Sasson-Sprong

We will have the best 3rd and 4th line in the league. 1 and 2 will be good but questionable at the same time.

I am most excited about Sherwood. We haven’t had a pest like Ruutu or Burrows for a long time. Every contender needs one or two.

Virtually every look you can think of for the fourth line with a healthy roster sounds exciting. This is the only time I have ever felt that way as a Canucks fan. This has been an absolutely brilliant off-season for the forward group. The defense, however, I am less enthused about… But hopefully the ability to roll four deep with scoring potential on every line, night in and night out will make up for the downgrade there.

Kind of makes me more worried about our first and second lines.

Feels like our 4th line can be molded into whatever we want it to be this season, as opposed to the mix of spare parts we were working with last season
You could run Höglander-Suter-Sprong when you’re looking for some extra scoring punch, Höglander and/or Sherwood if you just want some pesky guys to stir it up, or run Heinen and Blueger out there to shut the game down. I’m really excited about this season in particular because there’s tons of different line combos you can run with and they’re all great

I am so ready for multiple star players to go down with injury early in the year. It will hurt but it will be Canucks hockey al maxima.
