New York Rangers currently donโt have a ton of cap space available but they do have some tradeable players to allow them to make some very impactful trades potentially at the NHL trade deadline or this offseason. This Rangers team as of right now may not be good enough to win a cup but they can and will make some moves to strengthen this squid even more.

This is why so many fans were so vocal about going all in at the deadline last year, the window for this group is closing fast either from age or bad contracts sucking up cap space.

It really is an interesting situation with the Rangers and their cap space. Rangers have about two years before they can really free up a good amount of cap space. Also, it depends if they make any deals in between now and the end of this coming season. For now, it's clear Drury wants to give a serious look at some Ranger prospects going into this season. Which I'm totally fine with, it's about time some of the Kids got a legit shot moving forward.

Use kakko & vesey + a few draft picks or a prospect (no perrault) maybe Othman if we do not see improvement from him in the pre season as trade bait for vatrano & Zac jones for Adam larrson with 25% retained salary. These are my moves, lmk if these sound realistic or not.
