Let me just head over to capfr… oh. I see…

Not to be the thinfoil hat guy; but I literally mentioned Marchenko yesterday.

    Producer credits coming in!

According to people in this sub Reddit, they should do absolutely nothing with the cap space they have because they have a history of signing bad contracts.

  4. I think Dom has at least one year left in the tank. Jaromir too!

All I want is a top 6 forward with term who wants to come to buffalo, but not too high of a cap hit so we can sign Quinn, Peterka, and Byram alongside Skinners buyout. Is that too much to ask???

The Sabres aren’t going to do anything with that cap space. They already moved out picks and prospects this offseason and already have a full roster as it stands, and that’s without any of the borderline NHL ready prospects like Kulich or Rosen pushing for a spot.

The best case scenario at this point is that the Sabres sit on the cap space, have a strong first half of the season, then use their cap flexibility to acquire someone for a playoff run at the deadline.

Use it intelligently now or wait and make an in season trade (especially if a known good player has a slow start somewhere) or if things are looking good make a splash at the trade deadline.

  8. They’re going to do the same thing they’ve done for the last five years as they’ve averaged bottom 5 in roster spending: watch their cheap owner pocket the excess.

Offer sheet. I’m gonna keep saying it til there’s no options left. Then back to marner trade idea.
