Today, I bring you some sizzling hot news straight from Frisco, where our beloved Dallas Cowboys are ramping up efforts to secure the future of two team stars: CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott. And let me tell you, these negotiations are heating up!

Recently, Cowboys Executive Vice President Stephen Jones revealed that the team made a contract offer to Lamb last Friday and another to Prescott last week. That’s right, our front office is working hard to keep these stars on our roster.

“At this moment, I would describe the conversations with both as optimistic,” said Jones. “We are having good negotiations with Todd [France] and Tory [Dandy]. I like where we are.”

Todd France, Prescott’s agent, is in talks with the Cowboys about a third contract for our quarterback. Remember, the last four-year, $160 million contract was tough to secure and is about to expire. With clauses that prevent trades and new tags, Prescott has all the control to decide if he becomes a free agent in March.

As for CeeDee Lamb, whose agent is Dandy, he is not participating in training camp while seeking an increase from the $17.9 million he will earn in the fifth-year option. Stephen Jones mentioned that Lamb is not necessarily looking to surpass Justin Jefferson’s $35 million average annual salary but wants something close to it.
