He’s an athlete living in the Detroit area and has (on and off) for decades. Why wouldn’t he be?

He’s probably just scouting. Sewell for goalie.
Deraj2004
Maybe he wants to swap Jack Campbell’s.

Probably getting tips from Brad Holmes on how to sign Raymond and Seider.
SayNoToStim
That’s right, he’s hiring Dan Campbell to coach the Wings

I mean he probably is a fan, but I also feel like there’s a more GM’y reason for being there. Like how playing different sports can make you a more complete athlete, maybe being a part of a different sport’s practices/camps can give you better/more creative ideas for running your own.

Bunch of hard nosed team first guys without any massive egos getting in the way of building that family type of locker room.
That culture swing from where they were to what they are now. It’s kind of hard not to fall in love with that team. I’d be more surprised if Yzerman wasn’t a fan.

A new era of Detroit Supremacy in Sports is coming if the Red Wings, Pistons and Tigers are paying close attention to what the Lions have been doing since the rebuild.
