  1. i think i MASSIVE factor everyone (including myself) has written off is a graves bounce back. say he plays like the player he was in NJ all of a sudden graves, Pettersson, EK65, and tanger isn't such a bad top 4 . i assume that 5th spot is st. ivany's and than the last spot can be a healthy competition between everyone whos left.

  2. I've said it before, doc's puck retrieval is one of the best on the team. He scored 16 goals this season w no power play time. I believe if he plays with sid and gets pp2 time he has 25 goal potential.

  3. The biggest problems I saw last year with the pp were geno slowed down the passing by holding it wayyyyyy too long (he wasn't the only one though), THEY REFUSED TO GET IN FRONT OF THE NET (mostly Raks, but he was hurt a lot of the year so some excuses but it's my personal pet peeve 😡), and for some reason they would always shoot the puck in the final seconds of the pp and miss the net causing then person coming out of the penalty box to get the puck and get a short handed chance (this was mostly Eller but others too). Personally of the people I named I feel like Eller is the only one that made up for it in other ways.

  4. PP is like goal line in football – you need enough misdirection to keep the D off balance or you're doomed.

  5. Letang, Sid, Bunting, Rust, Rakell
    Karlsson, Geno, DOC, Hayes, Puljiarvi

Wow. Making this really shows how little superstar (forward) talent there is outside of 87,71.

Reasoning is 71 doesn't give the necessary effort to play with Sid and coupled with 58 they make some bonehead decisions. 87 & 58 have great chemistry so keep them together and then give 71 his selection of 2nd PP guys and turn Geno into a goal scorer like Ovi and sit in the circle waiting for one timers bc 71 can't be a playmaker like he used to be

  6. I think its an absolute necessity to have Karlsson and Crobsy on PP1. And I don't see anyone better than Bunting for his specific role. Add two names to that.

More importantly, the PP needs some direction(s) from coaching. That's why we got Quinn. It also needs someone Horny for the net, like 72 was. Get in close. A perimeter shot should be an option after creating sufficient chaos in front of the netminder, not before. I expect someone like DOC or Lizotte to make PP1
