Full Short Track Race: Bowman Gray Stadium Sportsman Division Twin 20’s (7/27/24)

With the rain washing away last weeks event the always exciting Sportsman Division rolled into #BowmanGrayStadium on 7/27/24 with the points battle heating up. Who will walk away #BGS winners?

Race 1 Summary: The first race saw #12 Justin Taylor and #7 Connor Branch Lead the field to green. Lap 3 would see our first caution as #01 Marty Wilmoth would pull off into the grass with no power. Lap 8 would see #37 Chris Massey go around all by himself. Lap 13 saw #0 Kirk Sheets turn #22 Wesley Thompson in turn 2. Lap 14 would see a debris caution. Lap 16 would see a heated battle for second turn ugly as the 7 of Branch and 12 of Taylor would come together ripping the door off of the #7 bringing out the caution. In the end #03 Sterling Plemmons would be first to the line collecting another win at the #madhouse!

Race 2 Summary: The 2nd race would see #7 Connor Branch on the front row again this time sharing it with #38 Mitch Gales. #7 of Branch was excited to get things started as he would jump the start twice. Lap 11 would see our first caution as #19 Michael Adams would send #12 Justin Taylor around in front of the pack collecting race 1 winner #03 Sterling Plemmons. After another debris caution the race would be green the rest of the way with 17 year old #7 Connor Branch collecting his win at the stadium!
