☕ 📜 🖋️ Good Morning 🌞
Bon tarde Coach
Liane hasn’t been the “big dynamic” scorer in a couple of years and has had a few injuries!
Does Hughes get a money back guarantee with Liane ?
Also Liane was quite vocal in his desire to play only in California!
I would take Kako instead of Laine.
Thanks Coach…good ..Suzuki is elite but playing on a weaker team and his stats will grow as the team improves, especially a solid second line. I am not crazy about Laine but option 3 or 4 would work.
100 percent coach, guaranteed 30 to 40 goals, 6 foot 5,26 years old, probably make the playoffs, dandinov next year, would be amazing
I would trade for Laine using any of these options
I doubt Liane could manage the pressure of playing in Montreal.
Option 2 or 4 sound great to me. But I'd like to see us keep Harris. I think he's terribly under-rated.
No Laine. Personal problems don't magically disappear. Avoid at all cost.
If you are a proponent of Montreal acquiring Laine the first and third option would be the best but knowing Columbus they are trying to get teams into a bidding war. In both cases for Montreal on the first option, Montreal sends back Armia's contract helping to absorb some of Laine's AAV. Obviously if Laine becomes a long term injured once more as a Montreal player MSL would work his wonders once more with freeing up cap space
Hi coach, if i had to pick, option 3 is the one i would take.
Option 1 – Does not work. Habs will get a high pick for Armia at trade deadline. If trade did happen there is no guarantee Armia signs with CBJ since UFA. Therefore trade is basically Harris and a 3rd rounder for Laine. Would CBJ consider that? No retention makes Laine highest paid on Habs so not happening.
Option 2 – Why would CBJ do that when other teams would probably offer more and why would Habs take on Laine's salary of $8.7M which makes him the highest paid player on the team?
Option 4 – Far too convoluted and unlikely to happen.
Therefore the best option is #3 for Habs however the question to be asked is, does Habs management want Laine?
Laine needs to be healthy mentaly.. becaude KH wants good attitude in his team .. he dont went someone who screw the mentality
no. this is a guy like pierre luc dubois who actually has negative value at this salary. If they take anderson and gallagher for him Im fine with it. He'll come off the books with carey price.
if its not him , alot of big name next summer are on the market so it will be another one simply
Ive said this before and I will stand by my earlier opinion that Montreal should NOT trade for Laine. Most people think that its at least 1 or 2 years too early to be trying to add a top 6 player as the Habs rebuild is still on-going. As well, Laine has not played up to his potential over the last few years and has NOT played a full season in almost 6 years, so he seems to be injuried often. I dont believe that he will be "game-breaker" player that everyone thinks. His best season was 44 goals in 82 games, back in 17-18. Pretty good numbers but he hasnt earned his $8.7M since signing it in '22. If Columbus would retain 50%, then the salary fits his current production. I also have concerns about his "coachability" as he was traded from Winnipeg and was labeled as a malcontent with the Jets. I wonder how he would fit into the Habs culture, especially under MSL. For me, its a pass on ANY trade for Laine.
I would prefer Laine went elsewhere, however, if there was no choice Option 1 is the best option. IMO
Big NO to Laine ..No way ..!! Forget it ..Too much baggage . ..injuries …attitude .. whining .. grumbling …!! No thanks …Move on ..
him or beauvillier
Laine is a cancer- hard pass!!
Coach I believe the Habs are going to be a fun team to watch this year especially if they can stay healthy
No to Laine. He hasn't played well in years. He needs to convince HuGo that his mind and body are at 100%. Kakko is a better fit
Laine doesn't want to come to Montreal.
I like 3 or 4, I just want them to get someone who can put the puck in the net, maybe we can get out of the bottom 5 in goal scoring…
Even Demidov
Kaiden Kuhlé 😅
Nick Zucchini 😅
Any player coming out of player assistance program is done! Name me one success from the program.
Mèsar Harris and a pick ??? 😅
