In this video, we open a 2023-24 Upper Deck Allure Hobby Box!
This year, Allure is an 8 pack, 8 cards per pack, one “hit” per pack product which can be an auto, auto memorabilia, 16-bit, or Doubloons insert.
Allure historically isn’t very popular within the hockey hobby community. You can almost always find Allure on sale within a couple of months of release, depending on the rookie crop. This year will probably take a bit longer to go on sale, and it won’t be an aggressive sale like previous years. That being said, it is one of the more affordable options when it comes to 2023 hobby boxes and doesn’t seem to be heavily affected by the Bedard premium.
Even though Allure doesn’t get much love, we have to admit, this year looks really good. The base cards looked so good that we thought they were inserts at first, which is amazing to see.
In addition to how great the cards look in this set, there’s obviously tons of rookie potential this year with the likes of Connor Bedard, Brock Faber, Adam Fantilli, Logan Cooley, Marco Rossi, Leo Carlsson, Luke Hughes, Devon Levi, Matthew Knies, and many more great young players.
