I really don’t think Tony the player is horrible. He is probably a good offensive guy to keep on a 3rd pair. It just seems like he has burned all bridges.

Good riddance. I do hate the idea of him saying bad things about the organization to Nikishin, though. Wish it was any other team lol.

During his time with Canes he behaved well, played ok, even great at times when you choose to focus on his offence, and never seemed to be the locker room cancer most everyone expected him to be. Also he brought us a pretty juicy return in that trade to Philly.
So I guess … thanks for the memories and good luck?

He’s good in the offensive zone, he got decent speed and stick handling and he’s terrible in his zone. a team should try to play him as a forward.

Carolina must be building a pretty good rapport with SKA. Deangelo did what was asked during his time here, but there’s going to be a logjam on the defense so it’s understandable he didn’t want to be the 7th D or play in the AHL.

Someone check on HurricanesHotTakes, Hasbullacane, Canefederate, etc. This is a rough day for them.

SKA is going to dominate. Bad news for getting Nikishin over early, probably a good experience for him though

So happy he’s gone, fans really held on to that season he was carried by Slavin. Knew he wasn’t NHL calibur but wasn’t expecting Russia.

Plus he literally doesn’t fit in our line up. Never liked him and happy I can cheer the canes on without cheering him.

Honestly was a great value as a depth piece but can see why he wouldn’t be happy in that role. Respect the fact he took it on the chin and wish him luck.
