Chicago Blackhawks – Greatest Sports Franchises

  1. the 1980's an Unremarkable Decade? the Writers/Producers obviously weren't watching Hall of Famer Denis Savard, Steve Larmer, All-Star Defensemen Doug Wilson and Goaltender Murrray Bannerman and Dirk Graham help pack the rafters at the Old Barn, The Chicago Stadium. Only the Edmonton Oilers and Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, etc. and the one year good year of the Vancouver Canucks stood in the path of those teams winning a couple of Stanley Cups.

  2. The team ended up coming into the league in the first place in 1926-1927 after the old Western Hockey League folded.  The Blackhawks used most of the players that had been part of the old Portland Rosebuds for their first season.

  3. I feel like the Boston Bruins are the only original six team that are still great. The other ones are either shaky or downright horrible.
