Joe Yerdon Talks Sabres & Bills LIVE From Imperial Pizza
On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by sports media personality Joe Yerdon for a conversation focused on the Buffalo Bills and Sabres, streamed live from Imperial Pizza in South Buffalo.
Joe covers the Sabres for his Noted Hockey Substack and also does work with Bleacher Report. It’s been a very busy and eventful summer for the hockey team and Joe shares his thoughts on plenty of it, from UPL’s new five-year contract to the buyout of Jeff Skinner, trading away Matt Savoie and a host of bottom six forward additions.
There’s plenty of football talk as well with Joe, who’s admittedly a lifelong Detroit Lions fan. The Bills look to be off to a strong start at training camp and are still considered among the league’s better teams, but the guys discuss a huge aura of uncertainty surrounding them going into the regular season.

The chances the Sabres make the playoffs are way, way higher than the Bills making the AFC championship.
I think Joe is being too pessimistic about our squad this year. I think we compete for second in the division.
