Boston has been a very good regular season team who have struggled in recent post-seasons. Will the additions help them get over the hump?

  1. Mason Lohrei going to have a great season on the back end. He’ll be running the 2nd powerplay unit with a chance to get reps on the 1st unit. Boston has 3 great D pairings and usually always do.

As a fan of the Bs, the offense kind of scares me. Yes they added Lindholm. He essentially replaces Debrusk’s production and offers a little more. However, losing a guy like Heinen stung big time. He can play anywhere in a lineup and look good doing so. Coyle took a huge step last season and I question what would happen if he kind of goes back to his usual 3C production. A lot of Bruins forwards had great seasons last season so you have to ask the question what it would look like if some of them took a step back…

  2. So this is the reason why we still don't have a Nordiques team back in the National. Anyone wanna chime in?

  3. I like that you put vanReimsdyk right next to DeBrusk, since DeBrusk left for Vancouver. That van serves two purposes 😂

  4. we've seen guys struggle or not play up to their full potential and then head to boston and play like new players. I heard peeke was an awful player from jackets fans , bruins got fleeced in that deal and yada yada yada. Comes to boston, has a strong end of the season and strong post season. Hall, coyle, zacha. don't need to say much, came here and played phenomenal for the team. hopefully hall returns to form for the hawks and gets/stays healthy.

so I'm pretty excited about the new additions, I think this team has it's finger on the pulse of players that can help (and in the past there's been some stinkers.) so I remain cautiously optimistic about everything while fully understanding that the bruins in the playoffs will eventually end and things will have to be blown up…

  5. Really enjoy that you do multiple videos a day lol, gives me something to watch on each on of my breaks 🤣

  6. all i’m gonna say on the bruins is jim montgomery is on the hot seat. he got very lucky in game 7 OT vs Toronto and that saved his job. Keefe lost his for losing that series

  7. The Bruins defense will have good resilience since the distribution of playing minutes among their top 6 will be less top-heavy than many other teams. Lohrei is 3rd pair LD but will likely quarterback their first power play group.

  8. "Also;" ..and a couple guys who may cut that top 6, is a happy medium for me, in leiu of a full depth chart. 🫡

  9. I think they are 1 rw player away of being true contenders. Lets say Bertuzzi type player to top 6 and they would be solid. Ill say max conference finals with this team

  10. This team isn't going to drop off any time soon and there prospects pool isn't as bad as people think . Good free agents always want to go to Boston also.

  11. How do you skip over Heinen’s exit? To Vancouver as well? This team will be good. Slightly worse record than last year but I think better set up for the playoffs

  12. I am pleased with the moves the Bruins have not made this year, particularly at the trade deadline. There comes a time when an aging team needs to stop trading futures for "another run at the Cup" (ask Red Wings fans). The Bruins did that in 2023, and the rentals were far too costly.

  13. This team needs to go on a deep run this year. There’s no excuses left for this team. They have to show us that they are capable of going far in the playoffs because outside of 2019 they have zero deep playoff runs under Don Sweeney. This season is ECF or bust for me and that’s being generous. I don’t care if they get Florida round 1. This team NEEDS an ECF run or better.

  14. For my money as a Canuck fan Lindholm is definitely NOT a #1 centre. He is a #3 or a #2 at best. He reminds me somewhat of Brendan Morrison who was a centre made better by his wingers Naslund and Bertuzzi although Morrison was waaaaaay more talented then Lindholm is. However with Pasta and Zacha or Marchand on Lindholm’s line we’ll see.

  15. Heinen was sneaky good for the club. Really wished they could have kept him around to be that swiss army knife/3rd line forward scoring. Thinking Swayman gets around $7.5/$8M once the dust settles.

  16. There was a fail in this video THG. If you were going to leverage that thumbnail at this stage, you belonged in equivalent sunshades and headwear for the news o’ the day vidd

  17. They've definitely taken a dip in front line talent over the last couple years but they've still got a great blue line and goalie and that'll take em pretty far.

  18. Thing with Boston is, they get these late round guys even 2-5th rounders that end up being steals, lohrei, swayman, poitras looks like he can be a top 6 forward, that’s just a few examples not to mention they had a pretty decent draft, letourneau, and between morello, johansson, and groenewold they probably got another sure fire hit and possibly a 2-3rd line pairing dman, plus they are a hockey market, one of the best in the world guys want to play there with the cap increase projections they’ll be able to stay competitive on free agency along with what else they have currently cooking, overall team is a lot better than last year; swayman showed he can be a #1, we got a 1C, possibly have the best all around 1-6 d core, a top 10 possibly 5 goalie they just need a guy to step up and take that 2nd line by the horns, there top 6 lost jake but like but like they got a better forward in return, Zacha can move to wing and now your bottom 6 is great 1st line is great and we just need that 2nd line to mesh and connect bruins will be dangerous this year

  19. 11M per is pretty good for players that produce in both the regular season and deep into Postseasons. Pasta ain’t one of those.

  20. The weirdest part is they got significantly younger. I didn’t notice that. They are now the sixth youngest team.

  21. The NHL would never allow the goalie hug to be widespread – too much fun for the fans.
Bruins need to do everything to win now. Prospects and draft choices do not help you win a Cup in this season. Most fans understand the cycle.

  22. I'm really miffed that Sweeney let Heinen walk. Went to the Canucks for 2×2.25mil. Like how can we not pony that up? Given the expectations for him, he played amazingly.

  23. As long as goalie Bob Essesna is around, not worried about Swayman walking.. He can walk, but he won't.

With all due respect, enough is enough with the hype

    – Sway is not the hot shot elite goalie his stats seem to indicate – that was goalie Bob's magic.

He took on the Toronto Maple Leafs without auston Matthews showing up whether he skated or not.

Jeremy still hasn't taken on Jack eichel, Mark stone, I don't think he's beaten McKinnon.

But Ullmark is a UFA next season so perhaps he'll be back
    😁
