  1. If you watch him play he isn't that good.. very lazy on the ice and drags his team down a lot of times. As a nucks fan I can say he is very overhyped. Top 6 O atleast.

  2. To bad he mishandled the puck on the shootout tonight. Howard was going the wrong way and it would have been epic.

  3. dat lazer doe

i think people are tempted to compare him more to Datsyuk or Backstrom than a Bure just because of he has better passing

but TBH watch his break out speed and dat shot — he's very Bure esque

… so far … maybe … keeping my expectations very tempered … trying to prepare myself for a mean regression …

but it's really exciting to get excited ๐Ÿ˜€ hahaha

  4. This guy can become bigger than Forsberg, Sundin and Lidstrรถm. What would NHL be without the contribution of Swedish players?

  5. I dont understand, how is he able to just score at will? Are we looking at a potential franchise player?

  6. As a Canuck fan I'm not used to having nice things. We have a long and illustrious history of draft busts. Look up our first round draft history for a good laugh

  7. At this rate Petterson could have 250-300 goals before other players his age graduate college get to the NHL.

  8. So this is the thing and I am taking as a swede and a huge NHL fan, in 10 years I believe EP will go down as the consensus no1 pick when they do their re-drafts. With that said if he was picked at 1, the push to get him to play last year in the league would have been huge. Going at 5 meant there was no pressure, he could easily take another year in Sweden and develop. Please remember at 18 you are still a kid and with his size, one year earlier would have made a completely different timeline. Also, the fact he wanted to play another year in SEL comes into account(and shows his mental maturity). Most no1 picks need to play in the NHL the following year.

  9. The youngest player doing it? Ehum, well, which are the other players that scored 10 or more goals in their first ten NHL games?
