  1. In my opinion, the second logo in on the video that was dated 1968-1972 (actually full season would be 1969-1971), was the most unique; attractive; and memorable logo the Penguins ever had. The blue background with the words Pittsburgh Penguin in it with solid white circle in between the two words on each side, made the logo. I wish they would go back to it, and get rid of the black and gold. Other cities do not have the same uniform colors for all their Sports Teams. The Pirates and Steelers were always black and gold, outside of the Steelers beautiful helmet logo that had the three different colored stars with Steelers in black, on white background with gray outer circle. so they should stay the same.
