Here’s some backstory to my new jersey (Thought you guys find it cool, idk)

I live in the Mexican side of the borderland, right below El Paso Texas. I fell in love with hockey back when I was 7 years old playing NHL 06. I played the demo first and instantly got hooked on Tampa because of the cool logo (Toronto’s look pretty dam boring next to it lol).

I pretty much learnt the rules of the game by just paying attention and watching closely cause I couldn’t speak a word of English and I was the weird kid at school, no one knew why or how I liked hockey. Thing is, I always wanted a Lightning jersey, couldn’t get it as a kid because my parents just wouldn’t spend that much money on what they thought was just a sweater and we went almost broke by my teenage/high school years.

Anyhow, I got this from Hockey Authentic, pulled the trigger after the Fanatics takeover and it might sound kinda dumb but this feels like it has come full circle for me. My inner 7 year old is so freaking happy, I was honestly moved to tears when I first saw my jersey. I’m in love with it, it’s gorgeous and the stitching is wonderful.
