Hall is getting older and more Injury prone then ever, think the leafs should stay away from trades like this. could be a steal if he somehow is able to stay healthy but lets be honest he played 10 games last season is this worth it? it could be only if he stays healthy.

Sorry HT, this trade is a no-go for me….first not giving up our only valuable pick in 2025 draft for one year of Taylor Hall. Secondly, we'd have trade Liljegren or equal value to create the cap space. I'd prefer the depth and stability on defence that BT has created for the team. Having said that, Taylor Hall at $3M…say in F/A in 2025…to play LW on the top line is agreeable. If we get 60 games at .5 PPG to .7PPG, that's 30 to 42 points…perhaps more(?!)…factoring in injuries and age at this point in his career. But I'm not a fan of giving up any more draft capital. I'd much rather be acquiring draft capital! So, I like the player, but 👎 on any trade of drsft picks to acquire him. Pacioretty as a UFA on an incentive based contract or or even Evander Kane from the Oilers(if they want to move on from his contract for cap space)…say with a 2nd Rd pick in 2026 plus 50% salary retention for the remaining two years…..giving back a 7th in 2025 and a 5th in 2027…the Leafs would still need to trade a David Kampf or a Timothy Liljegren to cover the cap space…Kane gives you size, toughness(which we desperately need) and some support scoring(20g-20a), which is valuable…a little worried about possible baggage he might bring(?)… but…his hockey assets are very good and useful…just my immediate thots
