I always used to grab Hal Gill in the video games back in the day. No matter which team I picked in GM Mode, he was always a budget free agency pickup. He was great for the third pair or as a 7th D.

Would have rather seen Cogliano get it, he would have been healthy and played good enough the supposed year he would have got it.

Sometimes I just like imagining the guy (or gal) who was so jazzed up in Oates in 2002 that (or she) went out and bought the jersey right after the deadline. Only for the season to die a fiery death and Oates to run out of Philly as fast as he could.
